Prepare my enquiry

And you, what would you like to bring?

Choose your piece, then what you would like done: you will get some initial advice and a contact message ready to complete.

The right hem.

Bring the shoes you will wear with these trousers: they help us judge the length and drape you want.

Nothing is booked or priced at this stage: the options and price are discussed at the workshop, with the piece in hand.

Before you visit

How an enquiry works

  1. Bring the piece.

Seeing it lets me understand the fabric, cut and finishing, and what can be done. For a hem, bring the shoes you will wear with it: they help determine the length.

  2. Tell me what you have in mind.

What bothers you, what you would like to change and how you wear the piece. A photograph or reference garment can help explain a restyling idea.

  3. Let’s discuss the practical details.

A deadline, a special occasion or a trip: mention it when we first speak. Once I have examined the piece, we agree together on the work, the price and the timeframe.

Frequently asked questions

Before your first visit

What happens on a first visit?
Bring the piece and I will examine it with you: its fabric, cut, finishing and condition. We decide on the work together, then I give you the price and timeframe.
How can I find out the price of an alteration?
I do not publish prices online: the cost depends on the garment, its fabric and the alteration you need. I will give you a price at the workshop after seeing the piece.
Can an older garment be restyled?
Yes, when its construction and the condition of the fabric allow it: collars, sleeves, shape, trims or buttons. I can explain what is possible after examining it.
Do you assemble garment prototypes?
I assemble your prototypes and samples from your patterns and pre-cut pieces.
